久しぶりにカメラを持って散歩に行くことにしたある日。

That day I randomly decided to go out with a camera. It had been a while since last time I went out for the sake of wandering around.

よみうりランドの方に向かって、眺めのいい場所を探しに、チャリを漕ぎ出しました。

I hopped on my bike and headed west from the back side of Yomiuriland, in search for nice spots for shooting photos.

するとなんと！程なくして西の空に扇形のようなキノコ型のような変な雲が！

Shortly thereafter, a fan- or mushroom-shaped, huge, weird cloud appeared ahead of me!

まずはよみうりランド裏の駐車場で一枚。マニュアルモードの練習なので何枚か撮った中の良い方です。

I got so excited and stopped at the rear parking lot of Yomiuriland. I was practicing a manual mode, so I took several photos. Here is the best one.

続いて道向かいの住宅街の高台を発見。ここからの眺めは遮るものがなくてすごかった！

Next, I found an open area in the residential area across the street, and that is a high ground with a full view of the southwestern sky. Nothing stands in my sight and I got to capture the wholeness of this cloud (with a nice little crow).

I also played with the fence, and this one is kinda my favorite.

後から弟に見せたところ、「かなとこ雲って珍しい雲なんだって。ニュースになってたよ！」とのこと。

I showed these pictures to my brother afterwards, and he told me "This is a rare cloud called 'Kanatoko-gumo.' It was on the news today!"

全然ニュースは見てなかったけど、たまたま散歩に出た日に出会えるとはなんてラッキー！

Wow I was not checking the news at all that day, but how lucky was I to make a decision to go shooting photos that day!
