Planning for Another Gallery Event 2018.07.31
Everyone who knows me, knows that I am an illustrator and manga artist. I have been drawing ever since I was 3 years old and I always knew that I wanted to do something with it ever since that young age. Upon getting into manga back in the states, I started dreaming of working with art here in Japan and eventually I got that chance, even going to a special manga training school which I recently graduated from.
Over the years, I have even done a few events to promote and sell my art. Back in the summer of 2016, to commemorate my growth as an artist and to promote my then newly published manga, "Blue Crisis Love" I held a special gallery event at the Social Residence Nishikasai Sharehouse. I had many visitors who really enjoyed my work and bought a lot of my merchandise as well.
This year I want to do the same thing again either here or at a different Oakhouse venue. I think it would be nice to have more Oakhouse residents coming together to view my art and read my manga. Art has brought people together for centuries and has been a great source of recreation for those same people. So riding on that notion, I've decided to move forward with the project. I already started putting some of my pieces into panels and well as printing of my illustration glossy prints. And of course I have a nice stock of "Blue Crisis Love" ready as well.
I've only started with these first few steps and theres a long way to go, in the end I'm sure this gallery will be another success!
